Mt. Fuji Climbing Information【Yoshida Trail】

Climbing Season July 1 – September 10
(May be adjusted depending on weather or snow conditions)
Climbing Fee ¥4,000 per person / entry
Gate Hours 2:00 PM – 3:00 AM (next day)
Except for hikers with mountain hut reservations
Reservations Open from April 27, 2026 (Mon) at 1:00 PM via official website
Daily limit: 4,000 climbers
Advance booking is recommended (same-day booking also available)
Early registrants will receive a limited-edition wooden tag (while supplies last)
Notes ・Equipment inspection is conducted at the 5th Station. The following gear is mandatory:
・Warm clothing
・Separate top and bottom rain gear
・Proper hiking shoes
・To prevent accidents and unsafe behavior, follow instructions from official Mt. Fuji climbing guides appointed by the prefecture.
・Beginners or inexperienced climbers are strongly advised to hike with an experienced guide.

Access

From Hotel Asafuji to Mt Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station takes about 1 hour.
-Take the hotel’s free shuttle bus to Kawaguchiko Station.
-From Kawaguchiko Station, take the Fujikyu Bus bound for the Mt. Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station.

    Free shuttle service available from Kawaguchiko Station for a smooth and comfortable check-in experience.

    Sightseeing around Lake Kawaguchiko

    Visit popular spots such as the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway, Oishi Park, and Arakurayama Sengen Park.

    Prepare for altitude, have lunch, and complete climbing procedures.

    Check in at mountain hut at 8th Station

    Rest overnight before continuing to the summit the next day.
    *Due to the high altitude of Mt. Fuji, staying overnight at a mountain hut is highly recommended.
